Nick Brown is a rarely acclaimed songwriter, an adequate singer and a retired pool-and-spa maintenance technician based in Madison, Wisconsin, by way of Michigan, New Hampshire and Texas.The Nick Brown Band formed in 2012 for the release of Brown’s debut solo album, Slow Boat, and has since played stages throughout the Midwest while releasing the Contender EP in 2017, a handful of singles and now Short Long-Term Memory (2026).Nick Brown and the band have shared stages with prominent national acts, including Justin Townes Earle, The Sadies, Chuck Prophet, Brennen Leigh and Dale Watson.PRESS FOR "CONTENDER"Isthmus: "Folk rock musician Nick Brown has the heart of an artist and the head of a journalist.
